During the initial cure
- Do not roll vehicle windows down until the installer says it is safe.
- Expect temporary haze, water pockets, or a slightly cloudy appearance during curing.
- Do not press, scrape, or pick at edges and small bubbles.
- Allow extra curing time during cool, wet, or humid weather.
Cleaning window film
- Use a clean microfiber cloth or soft rubber squeegee.
- Use a film-safe cleaner recommended by the installer.
- Avoid abrasive pads, razor blades, stiff brushes, and dirty towels.
- Use care around edges, dot-matrix areas, antennas, and defroster lines.
When to contact the installer
Ask for an inspection if large bubbles remain after the stated cure period, edges lift, the film creases, visibility is distorted, or contamination appears excessive. Document concerns with clear, non-identifying photos and keep your invoice and warranty paperwork.
Homes and commercial buildings
Do not attach tape, decals, suction cups, or adhesive signs until the film has cured. Ask which cleaning products and tools are approved for the specific architectural film.
